I'm looking to purchase software for design and layout. It would be primarily for e-newsletters and preparing pages full of statistics. Because of the statistics, the ability to copy in from Word and possibly Excel would be a must. Some of this may be going up on the web, so internet compatibility would be nice. The results must look professional, and the program shouldn't be too hard to learn. I have had experience with Photoshop, so ideally it should be somewhere along those lines but more geared toward layout. I'm working under a budget, so the best mix of features for the most reasonable price would be ideal. Any suggestions for programs that fit all of this criteria?

There are 2 that come to mind that would serve your purposes to a tee.
Microsoft Office Suite. This suite of programs is geared exactly to design and layout that covers all aspects of Buisness.
Along with the use of Photoshop, these 2 programs are probably responsable for upwards of 90% of all the major publications on the market today.
