I have a very hard to find Prince concert on a VHS tape. The?

trouble is static in the sound. Is there any way to fix this? The
tape is an original from Warner Music Video. It is not a copy.
I appreciate your help.

Try a cleaning tape - it may be dirty heads. If not, try the tape in another machine to prove if it's the tape of the machine. Once working, transfer it to DVD so it won't happen again.
