The title says it all. Any home remedies I can try?

It is a piercing burning pain.

The pain has subsided a little with time. It is still a little tender to the touch. But it is doing better. Thank you so much for your comments.

You could try an ice pack made with a small bag as well. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well (you can call and talk to the nurse about this without having to go in) to see what additional suggestions they may have.

Oralgel works great for this kind of thing. Even though its for your mouth it has a great anasthetic in it to kill pain. I use it sometimes and it works. Put some on with a bandaid. It also kills germs and stuff too.....

next time, just suck on it a little bit, thats what i do....if its a finger nail that is. if its a toenail i dont know what to tell ya cuz i aint about to stick my toes in my mouth lol but seriously though sucking on it does help a little bit

lace the sore area with some neosporin, and put a band aid over it for thee days, re-lacing it with neosporin and changing the band aid daily. after 3 days, let it get some air and re-lace it with neosporin.

All you can do is tape your finger with tape but not that tight, this is to keep your open flesh warm or you could use a bandage.
