For a minor offense, possibly. You have to be processed, and your prints have to be checked. It all depends on what you were arrested for, and how many prisoners are being processed ahead of you.

Not in NYC. You sit in central booking for as long as 72 hours ( they say its only supposed to be 48), and then you see a judge. I once sat in the Tombs for 38 hours before seeing a judge. The charge? Trespassing. I was peeing on an abandoned construction site.

Uhhhh....all you have to do is call a bondsman and they will tell you if you can post or not. They most of the times will call the courts first and find out if you can or not. Also depends on the offense.
