Why has God Made me Homosexual?

ok, first off i would like to point out that i am serious this time, i know i've asked a few stupid questions about god...

but really, im not religous, but opparintly being gay is a sin. so my question is why am i gay, if people arent suppost to be gay. and have prayed (although i dont know how) to ask god to make me straight, i wish i was, but im still gay.... and i dont like it. why has god made me this way? can he make me straight?



and before you ask, i AM gay... i know i am attracted to men, and not woman, there is no quetion about it, i've already attempted suicide over it.

There is no god. You're gay because that's how you were born. The only reason you're unhappy about it is that some people make life so hard for gay people. They're wrong, not you.

God has not made you homosexual just like he didn't make anyone a murderer or a drunkard. Some believe there is a gene that makes you gay. There has yet to be good evidence for this but even if this was true it doesn't mean God made you that way and that you can't help it. Scientists also say some people have a gene that can cause them to be drunkards or to have the urge to kill. That doesn't make those things right. We live in a fallen world. We all sin. Even if you feel an attraction towards other men you can CHOOSE to not act on those emotions just like I can choose not to get drunk on weekends and someone else that has anger and murder in their mind can choose to reject those thoughts. There are good groups to help you approach this from a Biblical view. I pray that all goes well in your walk. Please check out the source below. God did not create you a homosexual. Homosexuality is an abomination. Homosexuality is not natural, for homosexuals cannot reproduce, i.e., they cannot procreate.

Some factor or factors in your development after being born has led your sexuality to become deviant from normal, so instead of being heterosexual as God created you, you have become homosexual.

You have responsibility for the conscious decisions you make. Knowing you are presently homosexual and not as God created you (heterosexual) it is your responsibility to pursue the psychological help you will need to turn from the homosexual and to the heterosexual.

People will tell you that is not necessary for you to change from your homosexuality but it is if you want to be happy with your natural sexuality. The constant tug of war between your natural heterosexuality and the deviant homosexuality will take an incredible toll on your psyche.

In time you will understand what environmental factors led you towards homosexuality, and that understanding will help you pursue your natural, God-created heterosexuality.

Trust in God to restore your heterosexual nature.

In the meantime, do nothing to jeopardize your return to your God-created heterosexuality.

I'm sorry you're feeling so torn about this. I'm also kind of confused... you say you aren't religious, but you seem to be very angry about your circumstances. If you're not religious, you should realize that being gay isn't some terrible sin, so why are you still angry? Why don't you like it? Nothing to be angry at but nature.

I think you should accept the fact that you're gay. People try to suppress it and ignore it, and they end up miserable for years. You can't change what you are. I'm sure you can find people out there who don't care if you're gay or not - I think a lot of people in our generation are cool with it, at least, a lot more than in our parents' generation.

But if you're having suicidal thoughts or are feeling depressed, please get some help.

It depends on the religion. In many of the NeoPagan faiths, including Wicca, homosexuality is accepted as a naturally occurring orientation, with no "sin" attached to it or to acting upon it.
