let's say you want to frame a picture you took....and let's say the picture was created at 2800x2100 pixels, and was 3 MB big, could you create a quality 8x10 print? Thanks

That should be fine, because you are still over 250 dpi/ppi which is quite good. Just be sure that you consider how this is going to be cropped. a 2100x2800 pixel image does not quite match up to 8x10. You will have to crop it to 2100x2625 pixels to see just how it will work out. It's a good idea to do this FIRST so you are in control of the final crop and not the technician at WalMart, etc.

Yes. At that pixel size, you should be able to get good looking 8x10s from it. I like Target's photo printing better than Walgreens, but it may just be a matter of thier finish. I'm not sure just how big you could get that photo to print out clear, but I would think at that resolution, you could even go bigger than 8x10.

Good luck!

Sure you should be able to get a quality reproduction from drug store lab as long as the digital quality is good which it seems like it is... Look in the sunday circular for coupons/specials that the labs run... Save a bit of money ! Also, maybe if possible get an 8x12 that's a full frame that way you can crop it anyway you like in the frame. good luck !

If the image is sharp and fairly well exposed, and if you are not ultra picky, you should get an acceptable 8x10 from a 3MB file.
