crying every time they turn on the news? i cant even watch anymore without wanting to cry. we sit around waiting for "god" to fix things, shouldn't we be doing more?

I know what you mean about crying - and yes, we should be doing more. I believe in God, but I also believe that God made us with intelligence for a reason. It does bother me when people have a problem and others tell them to "just pray about it." Don't get me wrong, prayer is VERY important, but there's a reason God gave us other people - to help each other. The proper answer to someone in need should be, "I'll pray for you - is there anything else I can do to help?"

Many times God uses His people to fix things. Christians are the body of Christ, His hands and His feet. Waiting is not an option and neither is prayer.

Instead of crying, PRAY!!!! But, it's okay to pray @ times, totally normal. God will make will make all things "right" in his time. Stay strong, God is always in control.

Yes, we should be doing all we can at all times. God tells us it will only get worse, so it is our job to be prepared and be sure others know His love. I can't stand the news, the only thing that is good on it is ...dirty dining.
