Will the US Government ever apologize on the behalf of the hippy Libs who disgraced themselves by spitting on men of honor?
States have apologized to the black community for slavery, the US Government has apologized to Japanese Americans for the camps in WWII.
Why is no one saying sorry to those who have truly suffered, and still honored their country? Many of our Vietnam Vets are still alive to hear it. Come on, Libs, prove you love your country. Say sorry to the Vets you spit on.

as a vietman vet I DON'T THINK SO. but here lately I have had many people come up and thank me for doing what I Hade to do for the COUNTRY I AND MANY LOVED AND STILL DO ! thank for your question it shows some is still thinking of us.

Well I was a liberal back then. I really can't remember how old I was, 17,19, somewhere in there..
I apologize to every Vietnam vet I meet, for my generation's behavior towards them...
We were young and so stupid. We believed all the propaganda.
Even before all that tho, I remember, as a younger teen, how it was hearing how many of our men were killed every week, and it just seeming so very very sad, every week more and more... That is what made me a little crazy also.
I threw rocks at induction centers, marched and rioted, wrote all the slogans (winces) yes even that one. It seemed so simple, if nobody fought there would be no war. :/ All the cool, older kids were doing it. And something about that moment in time, it was like taking a hit of nitrous. I guess we were heady with our seeming power too.
I gave a returning serviceman a dirty stare. The look that passed over his eyes, I will never forget it. It haunts me. And I'm 60 now.
I will never get a chance to say I'm sorry to the man, the boy really, younger than my son is, who I glared at and hurt to the heart.
So as soon as I find out someone served in Vietnam, I apologize, face2face, for my actions, attitude and behaviors and for my generation's heartlessness to those men coming back.

All I can say is that the men and women who served in the Vietnam war are the truest of true patriots. And the people that turned their back on them and spit on them and chastized them are pathetic. I was born shortly after the war but have nothing but total reapest for the Vietnam Vets, Thank You to them.

I am a flaming liberal, Vietnam vet. I volunteered for the USMC, I volunteered to go to Vietnam. I have no use for the chickenhawks that beat the drum - bet you listen to rushit and bushit and love it huh? Wear a flag lapel pin too I bet. And you know what you can do? k**

I think the Liberals would be against the politicians who prosecuted the war,but not so much the veterans themselves,as they maybe seeing them as rather misguided.

they fear the backlash as they be revealing their identity. they would be branded and hated...bedside a lot of boomers were and still are selfish
