Hope this helps you.
Many Buddhists also study the texts and practices of other religions in order to better understand them.

There are two general types of Buddhist texts. There are the Sutras, believed to be, literally or metaphorically, the words of the Historic Buddha, Gautama Buddha and there are hundreds of non-canonical texts that are commentaries and treatises on the Sutras as well as collections of quotations, histories, theories and commentaries on these other tests. Depending on the branch of Buddhism, the text differ. Most Mahayana schools (one of two major branches of Buddhism existing today including Pure Land, Zen (Chan & Seon) and Tendai schools.) accept the Mahayana sutras (Thus the name) as cannon. The list of Sutras is large and a partial list with some transitions can be found at the site listed below. (1) The more popular and famous of these Sutras are:
The Lotus Sutra
The Perfection of Wisdom sutras (Prajnaparamita sutras) including:
The Diamond Sutra
The Heart Sutra
The Perfect Enlightenment Sutra
The Lankavatara Sutra
The Amitabha Sutra
The Dharani Sutras
The Mahaparinirvana Sutra
The "Mahayana-samgraha" and "The Awakening of Faith in the Mahayana" are to non-canonical texts that are deeply associated with the Mahayana school of Buddhism.
Theravada Buddhism, the oldest surviving Buddhist school recognizes the Pali Canon that is broken down into three sections called pitakas. (Thus the name Tipitaka or three Pitaka) These sections are:
Vinaya Pitaka: mostly concerned with the rules fo monks and nuns.
Sutta Pitaka: consists primarily of accounts of the Buddha's teachings
Abhidhamma Pitaka: Primarily a collection of philosophical dissertation on the nature of mind, matter and time.
The Dhammapada, often attributed to the Pāli Tipitaka since it is taken from these sources is actually very popular across all schools o Buddhism. It is believed to be the actual spoken words of the Buddha. This is the closest thing to a "Bible" found in Buddhism. Unlike Christianity that took the numerous works of Rabbinic literature as well as various Gospels, epistles and Apocrypha and chose the ones they liked the best to form the "canon" of the Christian Faith denouncing all others as false or unimportant, Buddhism accepts all Sutras and commentaries and allows the individual to question the validity for themselves. After all, Buddha himself said not to take any teachings at their face value, including his own.
There are other more obscure texts but these are the primary texts found today. Although the Tibetan Buddhist canon is also fairly popular but is generally just the Mahayana Canon arranged in a different order with a few texts of Tibetan origin thrown in for good measure.
I hope this helps.

There is the Dhammapada and hundreds of sutras. They have no bible. The beautiful thing about buddhism is there will always be more "literature". The have no dead book that can't be added to or taken away from. Nothing is written in stone.

there's no e book it is so widely study by way of fact the bible. we do not have one. instead, you need to flow to any Buddhist temples and inspect the unfastened books there. they sometimes have countless. One universal of mine is a determination of information via Ajahn Brahm referred to as "taking off The Door of Your coronary heart." Commercially obtainable in some bookstores, unsure which of them nonetheless.
