Yep. My first clue that this religious nonsense was simply Dogmatic mind control was when i was a child and the pastor of the Church my family went to got caught ******* another mans wife. Then told the congregation that God told him to. I have since learned and experienced quite enough to have nothing to do with religion.

Yes. Had Catholicism shoved down my throat for over 25 years by a well meaning devout Mom. I found the Catholic Church hypocritical, corrupt and greedy (MY opinion). I converted to Buddhism a couple of years ago and now I strive to be a good person for the sake of it and not to please a vengeful mythical being.

As I grew older, starting to study the Bible, really study, learned what is and is NOT in there, I re-examned all that I was *told* by men....... I found a lot of what I was *told* is not exactly what the Bible says..... We all learn with time , age and wisdom....... go in peace..... God bless

my father isn't religious at all. he told me he doesn't really care about the existence of god and stuff like that. my mom is a buddhist, but she never really tried to make me a buddhist. she practices in private. i tried meditation but i just found it boring and i don't feel like i need a religion to live a good life. i think i'm living a good life without one.
