I do not think that the word fault is correct in describing what God does. There is a reason for everything that God does and we are not always given the reason. I hope that with one lung your Grandmother is able to breathe well to lead a normal life and a long one.

Ex 4:11 So the LORD said to him, "Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?"
And with regards to a blind man
¶ As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.
2 His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
