Need over-the-counter antacid or acid blocker like tumb, zantac; etc.
Eat several light meals a day and avoid spicy, acid foods/fruits, fat or oil. No heavy meal 2 hours before bed time. Sleep with high pillow. Always with loose tight pants.

University of SC recently discovered under treatment of heart burn may cause heart attack or trouble because acid can block some blood supply in heart. So seek doctor's prescribed antibiotics at once if antacids cant help.

what works for me is a teaspoon of raw apple cider vinegar followed by a drink of water before meals.

Home remady.Baking soda and warm water drink fast.. But it work's..if it is late and you wanna stay home..
