My girl friend has been such a good friend to one of my "use-to-be" co-workers(girl, too). Anyway, my girl wants to make a scrapbook for her since the girl left the company I work for. Problem is, the girl who left the company is very busy with her new job and she doesn't really have time to get together right now. So, my girl wants to either send out the scrapbook to her, or ask the girl's room mate to hand it to her. Now, my girl doesn't know the girl's home address, so, if she decides, I need to ask HR for her mailing address. If she decides to ask her room mate to hand it to the girl, problem is, my girl and this girl doesn't get along well, so, not really sure if the scrapbook actually gets to her. What do you think we should do? Is asking HR her mailing address is appropriate or no? Need advise!!!

I don't think HR is legally allowed to give you her address. Why not call her and ask her what her address is, saying that you're getting ready to mail out Christmas cards or something? Or have another mutual friend call and ask and pretend it's for another reason? Even if this girl is busy, if your GF calls her and asks her out for a quick coffee, I don't think she'd say no.

I would ask the roommate for the address. Since your girlfriend does not get along with her you ask her.

another option is to ask HR to mail/forward it to her (offer to give them money for the postage)

Good luck...

or mail it to her at work, and HR will kinda have to forward it to her.. ; )

You need to rewrite that gibberish so sane people can understand it.
