the level recommend by whom? if you follow the nutritional guidelines set by the US government you will end very unhealthy with a high percentage of body fat. the food pyramid is designed to benefit farmers and the dairy industry not the health of the individual.

Too much protein is hard on your kidneys. Too little protein is hard on your muscles (including that all-critical one called the heart.)

Why would you want to prolong malnutrition, instead of giving your body what it needs?

Just eat balanced and moderate meals and dont worry too
much over it.
