Out of touch with the American people. Liberals don't even live in the same world as everyone else.

My opinion of the US Senate is poor, but in this case the correct decision prevailed.
Of the democrats, my gut is telling me that there are many democrats and some republicans who feel that they have to push on this so-called "Dream Act", whether it's because they've been bribed or because they feel their constituency wants it (although I don't see how that can be the case) BUT I think they are counting on others within the party to vote it down so that they get the credit for support without having to pay too badly for passing a bad bill.
I'm most ashamed of Senator McCain, who showed up for a vote just a couple of hours earlier, but was a now show on this cloture vote. He may have been a war hero, but that is just political cowardice.

Well good ole dingy harry and nancy hitlery and the rest of the bunch were able to bring their approval rating below GW's.
I think it is great, they say they were elected to do something (what who knows) and all they have done is lower their rating. LOL LOL LOL

I'm sick of going thru this time after time after time.
I'm ticked off that my to senators were a split vote.
Right decision (again). Why are we wasting so much time, energy and effort going thru this time after time after time? Do we not have better, more productive issues to address than amnesty for criminals?
The American public is very clear on this. WHen is the US Govt going to to respond accordingly?

It is one of the dirtiest tricks the Congress could pull on the American Youth. We do not fund our own, but the way that act is set up, it funds folks who broke the law, managed to hide from the Law Enforcement for an extended length of time, (Tell me the person didn't have fake identification to do that, and if not that person, his parents before him. Five years.. it cannot be done without forged documents unless you are independently wealthy.)
When does Mexico step into this mess and take care of their people? Never? It is very expensive to send kids to school and the American Tax Payer should not pick up the tab for everyone in the world. But in my opinion, the Democratic Leadership have abondoned the American People and most sincerely hope the illegal aliens vote will carry the day and get them elected. ..no... they cannot vote.... legally.

Congress doesn't care about the American people as a whole -- and the Democrats don't even seem to care about what their own constituents want.

the Dream act is amnesty. It tells me the Democrats would sell the USA to the highest bidder or voter they do not care at all about the citizens of the USA only votes. I hate democrats and hope they break up their stinky party and come to the table with solid objectives not just merely to survive another election by any means.
