Take a digital camera with you to the wedding and get some great candid shots. Get them developed right away and give them to her in a little album you have already purchased before the day. At the reception she will have a few lovely photos that will mean a lot to her.

Get something sentimental, like a framed invitation for their wedding, a frame with their names and date engraved, something to mark the occasion.

We got very few things like that, which disappointed me. I kind of hoped we would receive more "keepsake" gifts, but most people gave us money.

A massage at a nice day spa is always appreciated, perhaps with a bunch of her favorite flowers or something personal? You could pay for an experience (check out www.redballoondays.com.au, or http://www.freemanx.com.au/weddings/experiences.cfm?catid=24 for ideas) or organise something during her honeymoon. For example, have a bunch of roses in her hotel room or a hamper filled with chocolates, fresh fruit, bottle of wine etc. or organise a candle lit dinner for her and her new husband at a nice restaurant.
Good luck

I know this sounds corny but my boyfriends mom got married this year and I bought her a silver picture album with her and her husbands names engraved on it, it was a second marriage for both of them so they had a nice little album to put their weddign pictures in since they didn't make it into a huge ordeal. They loved it and thats where their pictures are now.

A silver wedding photo frame. Beautiful, traditional and practical.

Next time your over at her house, look around and see if she might need anything, or something might be broke that is reasonable for your pocketbook. Ask your boyfriend if he knows of anything that she might want, or has mentioned that she would like to get.

Make a grab bag gift with a mixture of coffee, teas, chocolates, wines, jams, mustards and that sort of thing.

Is she registered anywhere? The best thing to do might be to simply go to her registry and pick something out.

That way you know you are buying her something she will like and wants.

gift basket with a nice picture frame and candles. depends on what type of decor they have as to what kind of frame. just make sure it is a nice frame. circle e candles are my favorite candles. be creative with presentation. use tulle and a decorative container that she can actually use.
