What is the name of that allergy when your lip breaks if you eat fruit? Its a seasonal allergy that happens I think when there is pollen or something like that in the air that reacts with fruit. I read about it before and I know I have it but I forgot what its called. Does anybody know the name of the allergy?

This condition is called Oral Allergy Syndrome. It occurs in people with allergies to pollen. Certain pollens are similar to proteins of certain fruits, vegetables and nuts.

Being allergic to a pollen does not necessarily mean that you will react to the corresponding foods. If you are allergic to one food in the list, does not mean that you will be allergic to other similar foods.

Here is a site listing the cross reacting pollens. http://home.clara.net/radcliffe/oas_foodlist.htm

Perhaps you are thinking of oral allergy syndrome. The person only reacts when eating raw fruits and vegetables; cooked foods do not cause a problem. They will react to the fruit year-round, but they usually also have allergies to pollen.
