A guy emailed me for a second date instead of calling me and asks "wanna meet up on sat?" and i asked him "what do you have in mind?" and he goes, "i'm up for anything, wanna do lunch?". How can i tell if he is hoping to score? Why did he ask to do lunch? I don't hook up with guys. How does he hope the lunch will turn into? Like having lunch with me, then have time to take me to his house? I just want to be cautious.

What should I reply? That lunch is too early? Maybe a late lunch?

Go to lunch and if you see he wants anything more tell him that you aren't interested.

I think that earlier in the day is actually safer. He might realize that you are not the type of girl to just hook up, and thought you might be more likely to go on a second date if it was early in the day... the evening brings about more suggestions of "Want to come back to my place". I think you're smart to be cautious, but I would go ahead with lunch!

Go out for lunch. How are you ever going to know his intentions, whether good or bad?
Just don't let him take you to his house or any where else where it will only be you two my yourselves. Always go to a place that is public and people always around.
I don't understand why you say, "I don't hook up with guys"?
Maybe a late lunch or early dinner. Being cautious and keeping your guard up is a good thing; but, don't stop experiencing LIFE.

GOD BLESS! AMEN! SHALOM!

Well if you dont want him to "score" then I think lunch is safe. Lunch seems much more casual then a evening meal. So say yes have a pleasant lunch and see what the next date brings.

I think lunch is a more neutral thing than a formal dinner date.
Sex in the afternoon??? Only if YOU want, you ALWAYS have the right to say NO.

Talk or meet with him to find out what his intentions. That's part of the fun with dating and meeting people. If you are not interested in him, don't go.

Lunch gives me the whole afternoon to spend time with my date, with so many other things to do (aside from sex). And it can even extend to a dinner date and more if we both choose. Dinner is limited time then you have to decide to kiss him goodnight or not, or invite him up or not, to have sex or not, etc. I think a bit more complicated.

You can always suggest a coffee/afternoon tea.

Go for the lunch, but let it be known that he isn't getting lucky. You should do it when you BOTH feel like it and when it is right, not just because he wants to hook up. If he takes it the wrong way then he isn't worth it and you can do better. Good luck!

Somewhere between the fact that men are always looking to score and the fact that women are always afraid of men looking to score, a lot of people get together and get along and work things out, and have a nice pleasant lunch.

You should always be cautious in these types of situations. You should go out to lunch, but don't let him lure you inside his house if you don't want to go. Early lunch sounds delightful.

Have lunch with him. Make it a public place, and meet him there. This way, if "scoring" is what he had in mind, you can leave on your own.

Say your busy earlier and you have to do a later lunch. You may want to let him know though, b/c if he is trying to score some puss. he may be in for a dissapointment, don't be playing games with him.
