what can I do for a realy painful earache?

I don't have any insurance & don't have the money & would like to know how to get rid of the pain it's from my ear all the way down to side of my jaw line, it's a real sharp pain that last all day long.

Try pressing a hot washcloth (wring out the excess water) on the ear and lay on a pillow with the ear down (against the pillow) the heat may break up any wax buildup and release the pressure on your ear drum. Or lay on a heating pad, with a towel on top of it, keep it on low. Take some tylenol for the pain. Take a decongestant to dry up any fluid build up behind the eardrum.

I don't know what the doctor would do, but i remember my mom blowing the smoke from ciguarettes into our painful ears. She even put the lit edge in her mouth, and the filter edge in our ears, and she blew out the smoke, out of the filter edge, directly into the ear. it helped a lot.
My granma, used to heat some salt, put it in a cloth bag, and kept the bag on the ear, thus warming the ear.

I don't really know if this works. But a book I read about home remedies says running a hair dryer somewhat near to your ear for a few minutes eases pain. I have no idea why this would work.

most probably the excess of coldness energy of kidney cause pain in ear, bones, joints.
Acupuncture is the only reliable solution, first do it. Pl avoid surgery if suggested!
