My 12 week kitten Zoey, is getting a little fat around her midsection. When I showed her to my neighbors, who have had a lot of cats, and have been through a cat pregnancy, said that she might be pregnant. She hasn't gone through going in heat yet, so do you think it might be her being pregnant or her having worms. She is going to the vet next week, but I was just wondering now.I also have a 7month old Male kitten as well.

I don't believe she could be pregnant if she hasn't been in heat.

Taking her to the vet is a great idea, with out seeing her there is no way to tell. Also make sure you are feeding her the right kind of food. Some foods are higher in fats and not real meat, this can give tummy problems to little kitties that have a more sensitive system. I would definitely take her to the vet, but also try to get her to eat the premium food. My 5 month old eats Nutro Natural Choice for Kittens and I do have to pay a dollar or two more than the cheap brand, but it's really much better for her.

There are other brands that also are good for her, I don't know the names of them, but my vet said that just make sure that the first three ingredients are meat or wheat and never pick up food that says it's "Flavored". It means that there is only enough real food in it to make it taste like it.

No,12 -week - old kittens don't come into heat. She won't come onto heat until she's about 6 months old.She probably has worms,or is just chubby.I have a 16 week old female kitten who's chubby (she likes to eat) You should get both of the kittens fixed at the same time, and then you won't have to worry.Just make the appointment when you take her to the vet.

I always kept my kittens bowl full when she was a kitten so now she looks chubby but urs may just be baby fat. look closely at the label on yor food. It could be causing her bloating or something. Im pretty positive its not pregnant but you never know! Good luck!

if you have a male kitten, too they might have mated and gotten your female kitten pregnant. Or maybe she just has some little fat like all cats do.

Going to the vet is a good idea, but what are you feeding her?
Try natural feed for a couple of weeks. and cut back the sweets.
