No. It sounds like he is busy working, and knows you would be bored all day while he was working. Give the man the benefit of the doubt.

Not necessarily, as you are not married and he is trying to make money not spend it. It is not true that two can live as inexpensively as one. Only you know how trustworthy this man is. Listen to your "Gut" it usually won't stear you wrong whereas jealousy will.
