Alot depends on the other fighter. When fighting a taller fighter
it can be difficult to get close enough to actually land a punch. It has been my experience that a fighter with a low
center of gravity (a short person) has to have excellent defense, alot of head movement, and be able to bodypunch
with the best. If you don't have these, you will get hit an awful lot. I was a 5'9" heavyweight - my center of gravity was a little
too low, I think. So you can have a low center of gravity, but if you don't have the skills, it won't help a bit.

Marciano used this style. Every time he ducked down he loaded up and a power shot was coming up. Definitely a low center of gravity can help if used in the Marciano way.

Lower center of gravity gives you greater balance. Coupled with speed and a great chin talking about a pretty exciting boxer.

A lower center will give you more sturdy stances. The ability to put power into your punches more naturally. BUT it will not give you a better chin as one person thinks. The down side is that you are usually shorter and thus have less reach.

Yes. When lower to the ground you can support your weight better and take punches easier. It should also allow you to put more force into your punches. In addition having the lower center will allow you to crouch better and block punches to your body
