Hey guys, I'm just wondering... I just got contacts today and it's really hard to put them on. I never wore contacts before, so maybe that's why -- but like when I actually GOT them on my eyes, it came off. Are there certain sizes to contacts? I got these contacts from this website:

So yeah, please answer if you can. =/
I'm not 18 and my dad bought those...
So I'm breaking the rules, yeah.
Is it because I'm not 18?

Yes there are different sizes -- and you should really go to the optician to get these properly powered and checked for your eyes because everyones eyes are different in terms of shape and size and amount of correction needed -- Even if you just got them for "fashion" - ie coloured lenses or the like, you need to learn how to put them in properly -- the lenses do have an "inside" and an "outside"...they may be popping out bec you put them in wrongly, or the lenses you got may not be suitable for the shape of your eyeball.
Most importantly, you MUST be really hygienic when you use lenses bec you could end up with serious eye infections if you don't wash your hands and clean your lenses properly -- There is a reason why you have to be 18 to purchase these and since they are your first, you should get it fitted properly. You can get subsequent supplies online when you know which ones are right for you. I'm sorry to say but it is irresponsible of your Dad to get these for you without having your eyes checked first.
These are your eyes you are talking about...don't play around.

When getting contacts, normally as part of the fitting test, they get a measurement of diameter and base curve of your eyes (this is in addition to the usual specifications for strength of the lenses). This is absolutely neceassary so they will fit right.

Your question was somewhat evasive about this: You did get a fitting test; didn't you? Or did you dad buy them for you using his perscription? Even if they are cosmetic lenses just for changing eye color, you still need to get a proper fitting test first!

in case you recommend are you able to get smaller or greater suitable ones depended on your eye length? i'm unsure yet there rather does no longer be a choose for it. no person's eyes are that super or that small that they does not greater wholesome right into a common touch. some peoples contacts purely conceal the coloured section, and a few peoples extends a sprint added. yet i'm surprisingly valuable that maximum persons have type of the comparable sized eye that they does no longer choose diverse sizes...

You should have had an eye exam first. That will give the diameter and base curve you need. Popping off could be the lens is to big (diameter) or the curve is too loose (base curve) or it could be that there is too much air between your eye and the lens.

Yes contact have different diameters. Look on your contact lens box....different brands have different sizes....ex: 8.6 or 8.7...and different powers....If they pop off it could be because your eyes or contacts are not lubricated enough...Check with your optometrist for you correct size before you order your next supply.
