2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive only a few have the pop open roof glass panel. Because the luggage holder covers the sunroof it is useless till you remove the bin. Next Gas milage is NOT why you buy a Xterria fun is! All wheel drive 2005 Xterria is a Great truck. Eariler versions did not have the 265 hp 4.0 liter V-6. just the 3.3 liter V-G motor that had 100 less HP. Or supercharged with 60 less hp. 17 in town 21 highway

john paul nailed it.....the biggest difference between old xterra;s(up to 2004) and new(2005-present) is engine size; old ones have a 180 horsepower engine, new ones have 260---my 2004 is slow as hell at highway speeds--absolutely no pickup when trying to pass other vehicles-- i think nissan heard peoples complaints about this which is why they increased the pwoer in newer models---and the gas mileage between old and new is close to the same and price is about the same: gas mileage is about 20 mpg on the highway unloaded in perfect conditions--no wind, good cruising speed, etc. start loading it up or driving on widy days and it goes down, once again you dont buy an xterra for gas mileage---they are FUN!!! bottom line: if you do get one, buy a 2005 or newer, i'm kicking myself that i didn't wait an extra year to get mine...
