No idea. I think he targets Catholics in particular, but they seem to be up in arms about him for some odd reason. I think it's like picking on the weakest link in the chain. People instinctively reject "losers" and do their best to ostracize them rather than try to understand them. He does get pretty vociferous though, from my understanding.
