The Body is the home of Soul. We talk tireless of God and praise Him too. We go to places of worship as we think that we are duty-bound to do it. Yet we do not care of self-abuses of our body, His gift to us through our parents. We justify drinks to suit our thinking forgetting that excessive drinking can be a health hazard. If we are really god-fearing we will never indulge in these undesirable activities that harm our body and the soul – where we desire His presence all the time. Excuse me if this is a generalization. Do you agree with my arguments?

This body is just a vehicle for the soul which is a traveller who has to be delivered to the right destination. People who tread in darkness are unaware of their true essential nature and of the reason of their being here. In fact, we are doing harm to God Himself when we do all these.

The God has given a free will to everyone along with all other instruments, aims & objectives, scriptures etc. and watches how these are used for advancement in Godliness. Instead of using these things, man used for his own enjoyment forgetting His will. One made mistake and others have copied it an d the process is continuing till today.

The body is only a temporary vehicle for our Soul. We can harm it without eternal damage to our Soul. And who said these are undesirable activities. Jesus, at the very least, drank wine.

I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, but I DO have sex, although I don't think sex between 2 people who have been together for 3 1/2 years illicit. I believe the same way...the body is one's temple. One should treat it as they would treat God.

I think Sasuke should not yell so much, to respect
the gift of a possibly appealing voice, but to be 20%
Islamic could be not too bad for most Americans,
i.e., to wash their feet once per day at least...

because it is OUR gift. a gift given to us to do with as we will. personaly i dont beleive that doing anything of those things in moderation is that bad for you. hell some of them are actualy fairly good for you. sex for instance if both partners are Drug and Desease free is a great stress releiver for the body ( stress being a major contributer to health problems) it is also really great exersise. it gets your heart rate up for the half hour ( usualy more) recomended by docters. sex is for adults what play is for children

Very good question. There is clear answer in Geeta. If you understand Marathi. Saint Dnyneshwar had elaborated the reason in Dnyaneshwari. If you want I will send you the extract of Dnyneshwari on this subject. For short answer, it is Kaam and Krodh. They compel us to do wrong, even though we know it. Try to control them.
Good luck

Illicit sex really doesn't hurt you if you are consenting. Unprotected sex is vastly more of a problem. That doesn't even go into the whole non-proof of your god nor of a soul arguement either.
