No, they better get the hell out of there while they still can if they are in the path of the fire. Prayer does absolutely nothing except waste time that could have been spent doing something productive.

Why on Earth would anyone assume that an entire state is not spiritual? This is about the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. They have their own views...just like you do. And their views deserve just as much respect as yours.

SERIOUSLY, stop attributing any religious significance to these fires - fires happen. Fires happen where no people live - fires are good for the environment. We just happen to build our houses where they will get in the way of fires. Get over it
