well my dad was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer about three months ago. its glioblastoma multiforme. and i have heard that there is a cure in china. if we are a US citizen can we get that cure if we go there. Also does anyone have any info on the center in germany for brain cancer. and information helps! i jsut want my dad to live. and i need some hope. im only 14!

The treatments you are hearing about in other countries are not real.
They will take your money if you go there.
This is a very difficult time for you at any age let alone when you are only 14.
Your dad will make the correct decisions about his treatments and what is best for the family.
The only thing you can do is pray.

I am sorry to hear that!
GBM( glioblastoma multiforme) is really bad brain cancer and unfortunately cure is a rare event.
Best options are good debulking surgery followed by chemo and radiation therapy.
median overall survival is about 12-15 months but about a quarter lives more than 2 years
p.s. I will spent good time with your father and not waste your time on non-scientific treatment in other countries since cancer treatment is US is the best in the world

don't let anyone discourage you. Often times, it's the sheer determination of a person that gets him/her out of situations when others just choose to sit and wait.
I don't know about China or Germany but you could google "hospital, cancer, Chinese hospitals" etc..search for university hospitals in these countries. Maybe they have a webpage in English. Especially the hospitals in Germany.
Anyway, here's a good american cancer resource: www.cancer.gov
It has info on all types of cancers, treatments and Cancer Centers (big, research hospitals with teams of very good doctors). Where was your dad diagnosed -at a small local hospital or at a big Cancer Center? Did he go for a second opinion or even third opinion from other hospitals, to confirm his diagnosis, his stage and his treatment?

There are also clinical trials available for all kinds of stages of cancers. Maybe, if all other options are not available, he can be part of a clinical trial?
