I hate it when someone keeps shaking their popcorn bag, talking loud on the cellphone, kicking my seat, putting their feet up between the seats, etc.

Yeah, I don't understand why they are allowed to talk on a cell phone in the movies!!! Gee. I never heard of that. Don't they have ushers walking around to check for these things? They did years ago. I HAAAATTTTEEEE when people are talking. It p***** me off. I also hate when little kids turn around & stare at you. I stick my tongue out at them. Little brats.

all of the above. quit going because of all the crap. no ushers any more to make the patrons behave. went about 5 years ago because I was dragged. last time i went before that there was no problem with talking on cell phones because every idiot and rotten kid did not have them, they were the size of a brick.
I wait until the movie is on DVD or on free TV, then put up with the commercials, rather than all the obnoxious people in the theater.
Besides, my popcorn is better, and a lot cheaper, and I can go to the can when I want

Talking, esp talking about what's coming next from those who have already seen the movie, candy bar unwrappers who take an hour to unwrap the damn thing, people who leave gum on the floor and I walk out of my shoes when I step on it, kids running up and down the aisles, kids screaming, kids talking, kids period, babies crying, people who whisper which is almost worse than talking, and I stopped going to moives for these reasons; if I ever went and someone's cell phone went off I would kill them. Cell phones, kids and babies should all be banned from all movie theaters.

its a universal hatred, the dreaded Mobile/Cell phone conversations, the kids kicking the back of your seat, the constant rattling of candy wrappers, people who are talking about anything other than the movie they're supposedly watching, and the whole personal space thing? hello?.. practical empty theatre and you HAD to sit near me??? arrghh... all valid points of theatre etiquette.. bring your kids along but tell them to be quiet or they sit in the car for rest of movie lol... (like i do!!)

Besides all those wonderful peeves others have mentioned... I particularly dislike when kids start running around, expecially back/forth in front of the screen!!! TIE THEM DOWN, for heaven's sake!

Have a polite day.

When there are plenty of seats and people sit in the row right in front of me, and when they leave the theater every few minutes.

Some big-mouth saying what is going to happen next; and parents not keeping their kids under control.

When the usher comes in and disturbs the entire theatre to do their check just incase youve pulled the seats and carpet up and scurried it out the fire exit.
