God is Spirit. Spirit has no gender. I think a lot of us refer to God as him, just out of habit.

That's exactly why I don't believe in the bible or god. It would make sense that a woman would have created everything because women create children. I don't know how any women could accept some of the things the bible says. I sometimes wonder if they have read all the parts that say women are inferior. It is completely stupid that a 'god' would say that. So, that is why I believe in the Goddess.

God has no gender, people assume this because the writer of Genesis says God created Adam in his image and created Eve from the extra rib of Adam. Really, Adam and Eve couldn't have been the only two humans, otherwise we'd all have different genetic mutations(deformities) from inbreeding and the human race would've stopped at about three generations of inbreeding since most mammals become sterile or die as a zygoate. Getting off topic. God has no gender. Men thought God had to be a man because men were dominant, but in reality God is neither.

The image of god/Jesus that we see in churches was actually modeled after the Pagan deity, Jupiter. It gave early Christian followers a concrete idea (image-wise, not religiously necessarily) of what they were praying to. Most art history books and classes go over how the image of the Christian deity came to be. Since Jupiter was chosen, and he is a male figure, most Christians refer to god as 'him'.

I think that, people that think of god, see, (im just going to say 'it') 'it' as whatever gender he/she wants 'it' to be. And, plus supposedly the bible was written when women WERE inferior, so... yeah.

I can accept it.
Have you ever noticed that people ridicule Christ, mock Him?
I think that there are many women that were essential and influental in religion, but having them being mocked as well just couldn't be born.
It gives society fewer targets to try to degrade and ruin.

Jesus was a man and he talks to the father. Though the father is neither, it is symbolic of the order of family, the Father being the head of the family.
