Drink a full glass of water when you take it and don't forget to eat something, otherwise the vitamins will make you sick on an empty stomach.

Try switching to a different one that one might be too strong for you. Also no matter what vitamin your taking you should always have a little food with it and plenty of water unless other wise noted on the bottle.

I have taken Centrum (or One-A-Day) for years, with no problems.
Did you check the expiration date?
Do you have those symptoms any other times? It sounds like an ulcer. Of course, I also had that problem when my gall bladder became a problem; after it was removed, no more of those symptoms.
If the vitamins appear to be good (look for crumbling, etc., expiration date, discoloration), take it up with your doctor.

I think that may be a common side effect. I suggest you take the vitamin with food and see if that helps.

Try one a day first. do not increase the dose.
I had problems with centrum. I tried them for a few days, like you did. I did not like them. I never took them again.
Also if you stick to balanced meals, it is better not to take vitamins at all.

Take your vitamin with a meal. Many multivitamins are hard on the stomach.

Eww Centrum. It's all synthetic crap in there. My tummy would hurt, too.
If it has iron in it, that may be the cause. I suggest you take a natural based vitamin with food (not necessarily a really expensive one) instead.

Check what is in it--you shouldn't be having side effects like that. Are you taking it with a meal?
