I don't have any butter sprays at all, and my mom bought those easy to bake brownies. So can I just spread butter or margarine on the pan to make the brownies not stick??

You can use any type of oil or pam.
Butter, margarine, vegetable oil, canola oil... etc.

With the liquid oils, just pour in a little and use a paper towel to spread a thin layer. The paper towel will absorb any excess.

Yes, of course. Pam and the other sprays are a relatively new cooking item - probably about 25 years since it came out. You can also use Crisco shortening, but I think you'll prefer the little bit of flavor with butter (or margarine).

Enjoy your brownies.

I dont use pam only for the fact that if you have a stick of butter and rub the dish down. If it is a tub of butter take a plastic bag or plastic wrap and cover your hand and spead the butter around the dish thinly. It will work out just as well as Pam!! Good Luck and hope your brownies turn out :)

use butter, margarine, oil, or lard. the real key is after you grease the pan give it a light coating of flour. Brownies will never stick.

Get one of those sprayers that get filled with your own oil. They work under pump pressure.

You get to use better quality oil, and it also saves you money (after your initial investment in the sprayer (around $10)
