They're not magnetized, nor are they antennas???? They are bimetallic and resonate at a certain frequency and you're not going to deactivate them without the pad on the counter and the very large box connected to it under the counter. These are the things with the magnetism.

Perhaps its not stolen and the cashier simply forgot to take it off. In that case you can take it back to the store. But if it's stolen, I can't help.

you could try swiping a magnet over it.
personally, i just peel them off because they're annoying (I collected a gigantic wad from my home collection of DVDs.)

Those are not MAGNETIZED... they are little antennas and some are active and you can't 'demagnitize' them.
