simple question. Whats it like? Only for those who've been there. I have to go there. Only for 2 days. For a simple offense. Whats the process or whatever? What do you do? Anything? Kinda curious as to what I'm goin into.

You'll have an interesting story to tell when you leave, for sure. They'll stick you with a few "roomates" for a few days. Since you only have 2 days you probably won't even get put in with the general population, you'll just be in some holding cell with a toilet and sink, and a few matresses on the floor. If you're lucky, there'll be a televsion on nearby, maybe a clock. An inmate on the inmate workforce will probably come by 3 times a day and put trays of food and lemonade into your cell. You might be able to get some magazines or books into your cell. An officer will come by at some regular intervals, maybe every half hour, and look into your cell, and then keep walking. That'll probably be it.

jails are like everything else, they vary from jail to jail. if you are only going to be there for two days then you will not be exposed to any really hard criminals, they are held in separate cell blocks. The food is probably not going to be home cooking, however, some jails even order from fast food restaurants. The guards will vary because they are individuals with different personalities and moods. You will be strip searched when you go in to be processed into the jail. This will be done in private my a person of your own sex. Once you get to your "pod" behave yourself and remember, you just have to be there. Sleep as much as possible.

if it's a simple offense due to over crowding you'll probably only have to serve 10% of the 2 days maybe just a couple of hours if anything.

Been there on the "other side" of the fence.

For two days in county, you'll be fine. Expect to be strip searched on arrival, then sit around bored for 48 hours. You'll met some "interesting" people, but no-one too violent, it won't be fight club.

its either freezing cold or the heat is turned up all of the way and you're sweating. it smells terrible~ like period and crotch rot. the officers are dickheads and theres nothing to do. if you're lucky there wont be any crackwhores in there with you.

JAIL SUCKS

It must be pretty great, since it doesn't serve a deterrent, people keep going back again and again.
