Probably not. If you look at the strategies for the Xbox, WII, and Playstation, AND you understand the nature of the cost of goods, exporting, etc, you'll find out that the Playstation's price will reach a particular threshold where the price simply cannot drop anymore.

The only way they can drop the price is #1 - they already have in their future marketing plans to drop the price at a certain point, or #2 - the cost of producing the PS3 goes down in which Sony will try to drop the cost for the consumer.

Don't get me wrong, the cost WILL eventually drop, but not till the PS3 ages enough and word starts spreading that Sony has the PS4 in the loop (just remember what happened when the PS1 came out, then the PS2, and now the PS3 - they all drop in price eventually, but buy the time they get to the level you want them to be, the new one is right around the corner).

on a similar time as the psthree is fairly costly already, i would not be bowled over if that fee stayed up there till the two a sparkling version of the psthree comes out (with a larger difficult force) or because of the fact Microsoft makes a decision to drop their expenditures on their Xbox 360 Elite. a sparkling version might properly be popping out for the Christmas season this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, yet you never be conscious of. Your ultimate guess is to easily get a used psthree from a game save that sells and trades game structures, video games, and upload-ons. you will save some money and additionally you will not could trouble approximately fee drops very nearly as plenty. in basic terms in basic terms be sure you have them attempt the equipment in the previous you purchase it to ensure each and every thing is working and ask in the event that they have some variety of replace/guarantee they provide.

At least here in the US, they've had 2 $100 price drops in the last 4 months or so.

The PS3's price has already dropped in the U.S., I'm not sure about Europe. The 60GB and 80GB model are $499 and the 40GB model will come out Nov. 2 and it will be $399.
