There's a link below for the Irish government website. From there you can go to all of the offical departments to find out information. The Wikipedia article on Ireland is also pretty good. What do you mean specifically by cultural environmental issues?

Religion - almost all Christianity, especially Roman Catholic.

Edit: Environmental issues - nothing as severe as many other countries suffer from. Generally, air quality etc is quite good. Check out water pollution, in particular eutrophication. This is probably the worst problem for Ireland.

Highways - they're called motorways in Ireland, and they're a lot smaller than those you see in the US. You should be able to find information from the Department of Transport (from the www.gov.ie link below)

Military - not much of an issue in Ireland, as we are officially a neutral country. Research 'army' in the gov.ie link and you should find some info.

You're asking a lot of questions that cover a lot of information. But anyway:

Motorways (as we part of Europe): Not many. I think no more than 6.

Military: I think 18, but I could be wrong. Why don't you google the military in Ireland. FDA?

Military hardware???? Didn't know there was ANY, to be honest.

Cultural environmental issues: aside from the global warming issues, the motorwary versus the Hill of Tara is a major issue, as Tara was the seat of the High Kings of ancient Ireland. Past issues have been the Woodquay development in Dublin, which involved the remains of an early Viking village that eventually got built over.

Religion: You really haven't done any work on this, have you. As anyone who has read anything about Ireland knows, religion has been an extremely contentious issue here. Mainly religions are Catholicism and Protestantism, but there are plenty of others here: Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Ba'hai, Paganism, and I'm sure quite a few others.

Perhaps you should google 'motorways in Ireland' for more information.

heres a website on ireland and its goverment population and religion and basic history backround of the country with has a lot to do with ireland and the british because they where often discriminated againest but in scotland that only really happenend in celtic times it remainend a lot in ireland but something you can say about ireland in your project is about the economic boom ireland used to be poorly managed by the goverment and there where no jobs everybody left the country and immigrated but ireland joined the european union and where givin large amounts of money from the rest if europe like to build roads and create jobs it encouraged all the american companys to go there because american companys wanted to get a foothold on the new emerging europe and they stoped to refuel at ireland but stayed intel Dell microsoft and many computer companys are in ireland in 1990 ireland hit a massive economic explosion where the econimie boomed 300% and ireland has achieved more in the past 10 years then america has in the last 100 years also ireland has been ranked the best country for lifestyle to live in in the world because in america well if you are from there the education system is inhumman in ireland we get free 3 rd level education so we all go to collage to universitys for free paid by the goverment unlike america where you have to pay 10000 euros to go to collage also america has a very poor quality of life the goverment dont spend much money on helping their own nations civilians but ireland have one of the best goverments in the world but the health service is very poor there are not enough doctors in the country or hospital beds but the econimie is very good and it is predicted that ireland or china might be the richist nation in the future because buissnesses are going to china to make more money by paying workers less but in ireland we have buisness laws which attract companys because we are not communists and if ireland plays its cards right the 21st century and 22nd century might be irelands century but look up the 1916 easter rising and the irish war of independence ireland have a very strong history with the english most of the 6 leaders said they where inspired by the american and french revoloutions and the french tried to help the irish break free from english rule in the 1700's
