I can't think of one that is safe for a cat to be around, if you can get the cats out for some hours, you can try mycodex. Your vet will sell it. As for frontline, it will take at least 3 months to help get rid of fleas. Just one application will not take care of them all, since there are different flea cycles. If you are vacuuming, be sure you are throwing away vacuum bags after each use.

You SHOULD be worried if you have dosed your cat 3 times with 2 different products in one month! You can poison them that way, and more is definately NOT better when it comes to chemicals applied to your pets skin )-:
You need to treat the house, since that is where the fleas are hanging out...the carpets, your bedding etc all need to be cleaned and treated, and NO, there is no safe flea bomb to use while your cats are in the house. If you absolutely cannot take the cats somewhere ( like to a vet clinic for overnight board) then you can bomb one room one day, put the cats in it, and bomb the rest of the house the next day. You should be aware that the frontline is probably working, and the fleas you are finding on your cat have likely just hopped on recently ( probably from your carpet in fact!) and when they feed off your cat, they will die.
You will also need to keep any pets you have in the house and/or yard on Frontline or advantage during warm weather...unless you want to go through all of this again in the future.
Also...Important! When you bomb, move your furniture and treat the carpet under the furniture...flea larvae are under there, and if you don;t get them, they'll be hatching before you know it. YUCK!

RE:
Is there a flea bomb that is safe to use while the cats are still in the house?
I've been battling fleas for over a month now, have used Frontline twice on one cat and Advantage just last weekend. I'm afraid that we're going to poison the cats. I've used flea powder on the rugs and spray on the furniture and I still find the little buggers.

Powders and bombs don't really work, nothing from a pet store does.
Are you getting that spot-on properly on the cat's skin? This is important, it shouldn't go on the fur. And, you are getting it from a vets aren't you, not online? Sometimes the products you get online can be bogus.
Provided you're using the Frontline/Advanage properly, your cat will be protected but if you don't treat your house properly you'll still see fleas. It's estimated that 95% of any flea population lives in the environment.
So, get a proper house spray from a vets. You may have to spray your house twice, 10 days apart, to get any newly hatched eggs

To my knowledge there is NO kind of bomb for fleas that you can use with the cats in the hours. You need to do a search on getting rid of fleas, but I think their turn around time is like every 7 days. Even if you need to take the kitties to a sitter or a vet for the weekend to use the bombs it's worth not poisioning them. You can use too much and they will begin to salivate and get listless, and possibly seizure.

I also don't think that there are any products that you can use with the cats in the house. My fiance is a vet tech at a vet hospital and they have a lot of issues with Frontline not working. We use Advantage Multi on our cat and it works great. The only other trick that I know is that Advantage Multi is supposed to work on the cats and your house after a certain amount of doses. I would talk to your vet about it, they will let you know what is best. Also, make sure you only use one product a month, unless otherwise told.

I would get your cat out of there too. Those foggers are not safe for any breathing creature. The spray is sticky stuff when it "settles" it will be on the surface of everything in your house and be very dangerous for your cat who will lick the poison off his paws. You would need to have it cleaned from the carpet or wash the floors if they are not carpeted. Then clean the top of any furniture where your cat goes including upholstered stuff. If you have a serious infestation it is always better to have a licensed professional take care of it than attempting this yourself.

the safest product to use for flea control is diatomaceous earth, completely natural and safe, but you must buy in food grade form...this works...please no sprays, foggers or advantix or frontline, you are just giving poison to your pets
