Hi. Yes, you are in luck! You can download a copy of Ubuntu 6.10. I've included the link for the PowerPC version download below.

If you have an Intel based Mac, you can just download the regular PC version, x86 if you have a single core Windows machine or x64 is you have a dual-core system.

The newest version of Ubuntu, 7.10, WILL RUN on Intel based Macs, but NOT Power PC Macs. You can get the newest version of Ubuntu from www.ubuntu.com

Use the Disk Utility on OS X to burn the .ISO to a blank CD.

OS X is Linux, freeBSD, in fact.

You could also use Boot Camp to install other Linux Distros.
