Why is it that someone talking to himself or an imaginary person is considered insane but someone praying to "god" is considered normal?

god only helps those who help themselves... therefore you are the master of your destiny... not god, because he is a fictional person, it's like a santa clause that nobody told you never existed...

Those who talk to themselves are not really talking to a specific person, nor a person who is real. In fact, the imaginary person cannot respond back to you because he or she or it is imaginary. However, when one is praying, they are praying (hopefully) to someone specificallyl; although there are those who pray to different false gods. Such prayers are not answered no way. Those praying to anyone else other than Almighty God are really having their prayers responded by Satan the Devil. Do not forget that he too is a god. 2 Corinthians 4:4 calls Satan the Devil as "the god of this system of things."

That is because praying to God is normal. God has kept a lot of people from going insane in a crisis. God does not speak directly back to us, but does through your intuition, and the consequences of your actions. You must read the signs God gives you , or a lot of things could happen besides insanity.

This is a great question. But let's face it, you are on a loosing battle with the people on here, they are predominately christians. Thank your lucky stars you have your own mind and forget about it.
In answer to your question... Isn't everyone a little insane! Everyone talks to someone... be it an imaginary friend, god, oneself. It's called thinking and it all amounts to the same thing.

There are not any devils or demons. that is all psychological ailment, that are the top results of chemical imbalances in the recommendations. The technological know-how of the 20 th and twenty first centuries laid to kick back all notions of "demonic possession," even though it wasn't smart for the religionists to settle for this; as quickly as guy's awareness will advance, we've much less choose for faith, and as a result much less choose for religions and the adult men who run them. The religions of the international do no longer decide to renounce their potential and administration over human beings's lives.

Talking to yourself is talking to 'yourself'. Praying is talking to God. See the difference?
