update: thanks for all your help everyone. i should have also stated that i might be buying online so am unable to try it. it's really just to cruise around on for a bit of fitness and not to get thrashed or anything, only after a cheap bike. the following is directly of the web page in relation to the bike so i'm reading it that it has a 26" frame and not wheels.

* Shimano front and rear derailleur with 7 speed index

* Shimano shifters
* Zoom steel suspension fork and handlebars.
* Zoom shock absorber forks
* Linker alloy V-Brake and half alloy brake lever
* Owner's manual
* Bell
* Packing: 90% assembled
* Sleek metallic gold finish

thanks again. it's all helpful.

Sounds like a good bike but you may only need a 23 inch. You'd have to sit on it and see how it feels, the problem might be that it is too long in the frame and you won't have proper control.
Go to your nearest bike store and see if you can test a couple out.

How tall are you and what's your inseam? greater wholesome on a bicycle is each little thing. collectively as a sky extreme seat posts are obtainable, a too small physique places the handlebars very low. i became talked into finding out to purchase a 23" Cannondale years in the past via an outstanding bike save. against my greater suitable judgement, yet I did verify in the dotted line. After driving the bike for some days I knew the physique became too small. Very uncomfortable to holiday. Handlebars too low. After plenty haggling with the bike save and Cannondale, I swapped 23" physique for a 24.5" physique. plenty greater soft. till now you verify in the dotted line verify you have the perfect length physique to your top, leg length and foot length. good good fortune

Roberto is correct. That 26" refers to the wheel size. And it sounds like a one-size-fits-all low end bike. They don't come in a variety of frame sizes in general.

I think that the 26" refer to the wheel size, I doubt it's the frame size. It sounds like a low-level bike (sorry, I don't mean to be mean), and most of them are sold by wheel size.

Go to a bike shop where they can help you get a bike that fits both you and your budget. Good luck!

Rough measurement: Stand with the bike in the middle of your legs. The toptube should be at least 1 inch below your crotch.
