I know they don't test for alcohol and I'm not concerned about it, just want to know if I go out drinking the night before if it can have a negative affect on anything else? I smoked weed a bit ago and don't know if anything can happen.

The alcohol will not affect it, but the weed you smoked a "bit ago" might... depending on what kind of drug test it is, the weed could be detected from up to 3 months ago. That is if it is a hair strand test. If it is a urine test, it's about 1 month...
**Oh! I forgot one thing! Most places start with a breathalyzer test - that will detect any alcohol in your system. It is not an issue if you have a couple drinks the night before and are below the legal level... you may want to sit out one night like the others suggested.

I have a urine drug test tomorrow morning or in late afternoon..I want to go out this evening and have 2 beers while watching the Packers play. Is that a bad choice? I don t drink every night or anything.

Let's see...you want to try to get a job by going out drinking the night before?
I'm not sure that alcohol is your main problem here.
If you can't rein in your alcohol consumption even when it counts, you won't stay employed long, even if you pass pre-employment screening.
I don't know how fast you metabolize alcohol or how sensitive the tests are. The pot might show up. The alcohol might show up.
How 'bout you don't drink before important tests?

So skip one night drinking ... it won't kill you. It depends on whether they do a urine test or hair test. The hair test will tell them a lot more than urine and go farther back.

Yes, it could. Things must have changed then. Years ago it mattered about alcohol in the blood.

Forget about the drug test. If you go out drinking the night before, they will SMELL it on you. You may fool your own senses with breath mints or mouth wash, but you won't fool anyone else. I know this because I used to have a co-worker who would come to work after a night of drinking. If you want this job, RESTRAIN YOURSELF tonight. It won't kill you. If you insist on going out drinking, save it for the weekend. That's what people do when they want to get a job and KEEP it.
