Why is the 3 month deadline? Would 4 months work for you? When people are setting deadlines on themselves like that, they tend to go into yo-yo dieting, which leads to weight gain.

Do not skip school luch, don't even consider doing it. You need to consume enough foor during the day, or else you will be hungry in the evening, end up eating late and storing what you ate as fat. Make sure you eat a good and satisfying breakfast. Eat less for dinner. Do not eat anything before the bedtime. And refuse to eat at McDonalds and other burger joints - this is pure fat.

Exersising more in the "target" areas won't help you lose fat there, but it will tone the muscles. Fat loss on the stomach (it is my problem area too) is related to overall fat loss. However, toned muscle are good to have. Did you know that your muscles burn fat even if you're resting? So muscles = good. Learn to do push ups. If you already able to do them - do 3 series of 10 every day. If you can't do them - here is how you learn. Lie down on the carpet face down. put your hands by the armpits. Prepare to straighten the arms, while keeping the body straight. If it's too hard, you can bend your knees and supprt yourself on the knees instead of the feet, it's easier this way.

Generally you can't choose where you reduce fat. You just have to lose weight overall. There is some evidence that taking calcium helps you lose weight from your stomach, so you could try taking the supplements.

Please remember that at 12 years old you shouldn't be cutting down your calories. Just always try to choose the healthiest option. Eat loads of veggies and try not to eat refined sugary foods (the obvious sweet stuff like chocolate, cake etc). Try to cut out bad fats and get protein (chicken, turkey, fish etc but not if it is fried).

Also, if you have a lot of muscle some of your weight will be not be fat. Muscle weighs a lot.

Try to exercise as much as possible. Walk instead of taking the bus if possible. Ride your bike. Find a sport you love.

Please don't worry too much. You are too young to be worried about your weight.

Also, it depends on your height but 160 doesn't sound too dreadful.

Good luck.

to be honest dont worry about your weight... and from the sounds of it u sound really healthy.. what would help me is if i knew how tall u were because hight has alot to do with your weight and remember since u do have muscle in your legs.. u have to remember that muscle ways more then fat :) so theres nothing wrong with you. just try to eat healthy and keep being active try doing push ups, sit ups and crunches to keep the area you want in shape :) im 5'0 and i had the same problem i was over weight and now im perfect weight for my hight i now way 115 when i did weigh over 136 witch isnt healthy for someone my size

Well.. you need to exercise more in the areas where the is fat. From what you're telling me.. you're legs seem in shape.. but don't stop exercising them. Continue to do that along with push-ups & sit-ups in the morning and night... as many as you can.

EAT RIGHT/LESS! Fruits, veggies, proteins, and a little bit of diary (but no diary before you exercise.. you'll regret it). I'm sure on free lunch they offer you some kind of healthy choices.

If they don't, wake up earlier and pack a lunch. No biggie.

Good luck!

Think about riding a bike to and from school. It was and still is the only thing that helped me lose weight and keep it off.
