First, don't ever let anyone call u stupid. If ur bf is constantly calling you stupid he means it, he's not kidding. Have you asked him why he calls you stupid. And have you told him to stop calling you stupid because its hurtful. If you tell him to stop and he doesn't break up with him, he thinks you are not smart.

I don't think you should take i very seriously guys just tend to joke around a lot and even girls say mean stuff to each other but they don't always mean it. It also depends on how your boyfriend says it. If he says" You're stupid" but he is laughing about it you shouldn't reall worry too much but if he says in sort of mean way and harsh then you should really check on your relationship with him and just tell him to stop calling you stupid because you get offended by it

If a person says something that sounds serious, he is probably not kidding or he is only HALF kidding. Especially if he does it a lot, there is no way he could be kidding. What do you think you could be doing to make him say that? Maybe you are doing things he doesn't appreciate. The best way to communicate would be to ask HIM-- if he's your boyfriend, you should be able to ask him anything.

Two options a) If this was the end of a conversation where you both called each other some names you regret, than both of you apologize and move on. It was just a little spat that you shouldn't dwell on, unless they happen ALL the time. b) If this was just out of the blue insulting you, then I must summon my fellow male brethren for a public beatdown. FETCH THE BASEBALL BATS GENTLEMAN! There's a douche to be bludgeoned!!!!! Good luck with Option A, ditch his @ss if it was Option B

My boyfriend would only call me stupid once as I would dump him immediately. When a person says something bad, then "just kidding", they usually mean what they said. Dump the jerk.

I'd tell him it's over - and then say I'm not kidding. He obviously thinks these things or he would have never said them in the first place (doesn't mean he's necessarily right), and then when he realises what he has said tries to take them back. You deserve better.

I think it bothers you or you wouldnt have posted this question here. The next time he does it. Tell him it really bothers you and there is some truth in every joke. Ask him to please not call you stupid again becaus eit hurts your feelings. If he says he is only joking, you need to say you might be joking but I just dont like it. Can you please stop? I think he will get the message.
