my best friend and i like this cute guy but he likes this popular girl who thinks she's all that almost all of the boys like her and he just likes her for the looks i mean what guy would not go for the looks and guys who go for the looks are jerks what should i do should i get over him or should i make a move?

You and your friend like this "cute guy". It clearly isn't just guys who go for looks. How many ugly guys do you date? With women, it isn't simply looks, though that is a definite prerequisite. Beyond looks you tend to consider how the guy makes you feel etc. Men are simply a lot less picky.
I don't know how old you are but by the nature of the question you seem relatively young. As men get older most learn to be wary of exceptionally beautiful women and look instead at women who are attractive but not drop dead gorgeous. Women are judged far too much on their looks in this society and the ones who are too pretty tend to be too vain and spoiled to make good companions.

I go for looks. Jerk is the wrong word I prefer *** hole.
Just walk up to him and this girl and shove this girl aside and tell him to take you out... he might be taken back at this scene but ultimately might be impressed.

Although she may be all wrapped up and everything..it may be her confidence that gets them aswell..confiddence is hot..but not over confidence and cockyness..
