I have dry socket :(
The actual problem is due to having both bottom wisdom teeth surgically extracted 8 days ago. My dry socket is in the bottom right. My referred pain is in my left bottom back molar.

I am on Percocet 5/325 every 4 hours and they are NOOO help at all.

I know the answer is probably going to be that nothing is going to help until the dry socket heals. But please humor me and give me any advice you possibly can.

THIS SUCKS!

Hello again,
the first problem is that Percocet is a narcotic medication and has no anti-inflammatory effects. Inflammation has much to do with the pain you feel. Percocet will just dull your senses with the hope that the pain won't bother you. For a dry socket I know it won't work.
A dry socket takes a while to heal. You will get better relief from Advil (which has anti-inflammatory properties). Also, don't smoke or use a straw until it heals.
i know this advice will help you.Take Advil and stick to a soft diet which doesn't involve heavy chewing.

The referred pain has to do more than likely with muscle spasms on that side. Usually happens when the muscle's been tweaked because of the extraction and also from"muscular bracing" due to the pain. If you email me, I'll forward the pictures of the best massage areas to get this under control for you.
