neutering(male) or spaying(female). If male he will have one to two incisions on his scrotum. They heal within two weeks and it is a pretty simple surgery. Just daily check for any discharge/swelling and don't let him lick it excessively--can cause infection. Females have an abdominal incision which is more invasive. Monitor her incision as well for the same and try (its hard) to keep her from jumping to prevent strain on the sutures which can lead to inflammation. Keep them inside for 2 weeks until fully healed. I would not worry much about getting fleas from a hospital, but you can periodically run a very fine tooth comb through their fur to look for fleas and/or flea dirt (black specks) which are the feces that fleas leave behind. You can cuddle them all you want!

Most vets are careful about boarding your pets, where fleas and other things are concerned. All you can do is keep an eye on them over the next week or two.
By all means gently cuddle the little fur babies. They will yowl if they feel pain, which is doubtful. Our two were cheeky as can be after their surgeries, and our biggest worry was trying to keep them from falling, since their judgement was 'off' from the anaesthetic, and they were determined to bounce about as usual.
Pet them as usual and give them more attention. A cuddle will do them good, bless 'em. And it will make you feel better too.
Congrats for having the neutering done, by the way.

Any qs about the op your cat has, direct them at the vet. You should be able to pick up so long as you don't touch the wound area, and you support the back legs properly.
Your cats should be flea treated anyway, even if they're indoor cat. If you're concerned they've got fleas but don't want to treat them - flea comb them. You're looking for flea dirts (poos) - little black specks - these are the signs your cats have fleas.

I think the vet's office would have picked up on anything if another cat had fleas or ticks so I wouldn't really worry about that. As far as holding them, yes you can, just be very gentle and try not to get them excited.

most vets don't place the sick animals with the animals who aren't sick. If you are still worried about that, keep an eye on them for a few days and if they start acting wierd (not eating, hiding, not wanting any attention or love) take them back to have them checked out.
As far as cuddling and loving them goes, just don't touch the area where the kittens had surgery. Be gentle with them but make sure you give them lots of love.

You don't say if your cats are male or female, if they are male then I wouldn't give them a bath for a couple of days, if they are female then you won't be able to give them a bath until the stitches are removed as water will loosten the stitches and could make them fall out, its fine to pick them up just be abit care full around the incision area as it still could feel a bit tender.

Yes, they might have picked up something from the neighboring kitties, but I dought it because doctor's offices are usually kept very sterile. You probably shouldn't pick them up if you pick them up around the stomach, because they are still sensitive, but if you can scoop them up without pulling on their midsection, then deffinitely cuddle them all you want. <3
Hope I helped :)

Your kittens should be fine. Give them a few days to recover first. You could pick them up, just be gentle with them, and let them get their rest.

they can get fleas from other kittens. My cat did. You can hold them just be careful. They will be just fine. thats why they didn't give you any instructions. just watch for fevers or anything unusual, like not eatting or just laying around. good luck
