Thanks a lot for your thoughts and prayers, I have been searching through posts and found many people who are making rude comments about Californians, and it really means a lot that there are people out there who actually have a heart!!!

LOL 'best tax advance in background'. No that occurred in the process Reagan. Your bubble would be critically burst. Obama will actual defeat Romney. Democrats will save administration of the Senate. Republicans will save the domicile yet lose some seats.

Washington, DC here. I just left San Diego in September. Went to the Chargers Bears game. Chargers fan here! I feel for those who lost their belongings. The area is so pretty and I hope that they all can rebuild and get their lives back on track soon. I also hope that they get the idiot (if it is true) that started these separate fires.

Jason, I have been praying with all my heart! I know several people there and some, are elderly! They, are the ones who I am most worried.
The elderly and the children are at the mercy of others, for safety's sake. This fact alone, keeps my prayers going. Then, to see all the loss for so many!
I can relate to the loss of everything, to a fire! I was only 13, when our house burned to the ground and we had NO time to get anything out! It was devasting and left my sister and me, without a single picture of us as a baby! Many momentos, are destroyed and so are lives!
I will continue to pray as my heart yearns to cry out to God, for their sake!

Absolutely. I know what it feels like to be stranded away from home and worrying about whether or not friends and family are safe. My daughter works in the area sometimes and thankfully she got out on the last flight before the airport was shut down.

No praying. That would be useless. But this morning my wife and I here in NYC sent 1M to a nonprofit that is sheltering, feeding, and providing medical care to Southern Californians whose homes have been lost. We stand ready to send another if it is needed.

It's no fun.... I can see the flames (of the Santiago Canyon fire) from my house.
We're used to fires out here, but this is ridiculous.

Yes, brother......as you know our brothers are worldwide and catastrophies happen everywhere. Though we can't comfort them in a physical way, we can petition Jehovah to intervene and provide what they need in the way of comfort and/or material things to help them thru this crisis.
Peace.

I'm doing even better than praying. I sent a large check to the American Red Cross. I'm atheist and I believe that something more than praying needs to be done.
Keep praying but please open your wallets.
