A good Christian reads only the passages given to them by their pastor, friends, family, and R&S users.
The rest doesn't apply to their religion for whatever reason (the parts about eating your own feces, selling your daughter to slavery, killing your children if they bring another religion to you, etc)

No, I wouldn't be able to read it again from front to back. I'm not a Christian, but I will pick up the Bible to read from time to time. There are some good messages in the Bible about life and spirituality in general.

Study Gods word daily.
Once you read the entire Bible, you should get a study guide on different subjects to study deeper meanings and interpetation in the Bible. You read it, but did you understand what it is telling you? Do you understand why certain things happened? Do youi understand what is to happen? Do you fully understand why Christ had to die for us?
Here is a worthwhile task ..... Study up on the specific meaning of the Lords Prayer. Most know it by heart, but what is it that Jesus is telling you about prayer and about the father and how to come to him?
Email me if you want.

I don't read it like that. I read some from the OT and some from the NT every day. I have different methods.
I don't read the entire Bible every year. Sometimes I take 2 years. It depends.
Once is not enough. I get something different out of it every time.

Yes it's important to continue eating. No one says I'm just gonna eat breakfast lunch and dinner for 1 year and then stop eating and expect to live long. The bible can be read your entire life and you still couldn't exhaust The life giving sustinance in it.
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but [man shall live] by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God"

Hardly anyone ever reads the entire bible the whole way through. If they did, they would see lots of crazy things, such as: If a man commits adultery with another mans wife, with his nieghbour, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be stoned to death.
There are more, but I'm too lazy to look them up just now.
