Really? It's what you tell the person if you don't have the balls to just make a clean break and move on. You could possibly be friends in a year or so. After the feelings have been tempered by time. Until then, don't count that person as a "friend"

You have been "ultimate" acquaintances? if it is the case, he must be conscious of you enormously plenty and in all probability realizes you at the instant are not feeling him that way. in basic terms say (in the previous you bypass out returned! the following day!) which you relatively like him, yet you're looking that the romantic connection would not look there for you. Say you wish issues can bypass returned the way they have been. there is no assure he will choose to try this. He might sense so rejected that he's embarrassed to talk to you. He might think of this implies there is something incorrect with him. Rejection is tough, whether it is greater convenient to take early on than later, so tell him quickly, in case you relatively choose to decrease his harm emotions. He would possibly not choose to revert to being acquaintances proper away, whether it's going to in all probability happen in time. do exactly not string him alongside.

if it was one of those break ups where you kind started looking at the person as more of a friend than a lover so you just decided to end it so you wouldn't get stuck in some kind of passionless relationship then i don't see why you shouldn't stay friends. but for the most part i think people still love their former partner and want to be able to get back with them later by proving they changed whatever was the problem that caused them to breakup.

Usually means he's not ready to completely let go. He's trying to cling to something he enjoyed out of the relationship and that could very well be just the friendship that his ex provided.
