im 13, im 5'2" and a half. ive had my period for a little over a year and i weigh 140 pounds. is this alot? because i heard before and during puberty girls do gain a bit of weight. do i weigh too much? i am atheletic so i do have muscle, but i do have a bit of a tummy also.

Ok based on your gender and height the range of a healthy weight for you could be anywhere from 109-136. At 140 I think you are fine especially because you are an athlet and going through puberty. If you feel healthy and know you eat well, I think basing you health on that is more important than the numbers. And some girls will carry "baby fat" during their puberty years and lose it after about 17-18 years of age. Just keep up your sports and eating healthy.

You shouldnt be to worried because of your age, the more you grow, the more that baby fat will melt away, but for your age, I would recomend a nice brisk walk after every meal with maybe your mom or a friend, jump roping is also a good way to lose weight, and a safe way also.

Your only 13 you sould not worry to much about your weight. I mean you can watch what you eat but, I would not go any future like starving yourself. Your young enjoy life and if someone is telling you, your fat tell them "I look good don't I".
